About
We’re a mix of Tiverton residents, some born and raised, others more recent arrivals. We're mothers and fathers, brothers and sisters, grandmothers and grandfathers, business owners and employees, children and caregivers, working people and retirees.
We’re united by a love of our town, a respect for our little seaside community, and a strong desire to protect the quality of life we’re so lucky to enjoy here.
We’re also unanimous in our opposition to a second crematorium in our community, especially one near people’s homes, school bus stops, a daycare, and a primary care medical facility.
We’re not unreasonable people. But there are just too many unanswered questions about the long-term health implications of burning human remains near people’s homes.
Make no mistake: Nobody is saying we shouldn’t care for our dead, but just not at the expense of the living.
