Don’t let our quality of life go up in smoke.

Does a four-stoplight town really need a second crematorium spewing toxic chemicals into our air? Of course not. But that’s exactly what the Planning Board is considering approving at 730 Main Road in North Tiverton. Protect your family’s health and your home value by signing our petition against this poorly located facility.

Donate to our legal fund.

The proposed site is mere feet from residential homes, school bus stops, a daycare, and a primary care medical facility. And while the crematorium will burn bodies, the location could potentially torch our home values. Help us fight this misguided plan with a strong legal team.

Say it loud with a lawn sign.

Many studies show that crematoriums emit known carcinogens such as mercury, lead, dioxin, and other toxic particulates. But due to heavy lobbying by the funeral home industry, despite being incinerators, crematoriums are not regulated by the EPA. It’s the fox watching the chicken coop. Do you trust them to do the right thing? The first batch of signs sold out, but we now have more.

Hold them accountable.

The crematorium is not in keeping with the the quality of life we want to live in Tiverton. It’s a health risk for our children and loved ones, and a threat to our property values. If our elected officials won’t protect our families and our financial interests, let’s replace them with ones that will.

  • “They want to build this thing 62 feet from my grandson's window. He doesn't need to smell that."

    – Bob, Tiverton Resident

  • “Incinerators are banned in the industrial zone. Why allow one near our homes?"

    – Linda, Tiverton Resident
